Introduction to our Guideline and Submission

Information for writers, poets, artist and photographers

The Embroiled News was first published in 1995 to promote the creativity of local poets and writers in our small community of South Florida. With the innovation of the Internet we have recently taken a big leap and successfully making the transition into the 21'st. Century's electronic age. We are extending the same invitation we once made in 1995 to all artistic and creative visionaries. If you are an artist, photographer, writer, poet or a creative person, please contribute and share your thoughts and work with us and the rest of the world. There is no cost to you, nor will you be awarded a grand monetary prize. Yet the contribution you will make will continue to keep alive that spark of creativity which of late has been dimming throughout the art world. Take a moment to consider, you will be glad you did and so will we.

Here's my personal invitation for submitting original works to ALL artists and photographers; writers and poets.

Briefly, what its absolutely essential at the moment to help promote your work, I would need  from artists or photographers 6 to 12 pictures of their latest creations -- In total I will post up to 56 pictures in different genre on a rotating basis. For writers and poets  I am suggesting that your submitted work should not be longer than 2500 words. In addition, please read the following information:

A- Must, enter your name or initials if you are the creator of the work; include the state and country of origin. Your postal and e-Mail address will also be needed for our records and correspondence , but it will never be disclosed to a third party.

B- Must, give a title or ID number to each finished work submitted for identification purpose.

C- Must, give very brief information about yourself or if easier, briefly explain how the work was achieved--mentioned the material used, technique, or type of photo equipment, film etc.. For writers and poets, as an alternative to your brief bio, you could perhaps mention what has inspired you to to write or simply give a brief statement about your current work.

D- Optional: listing your E-mail address -- This is added with the intent that some one will directly contact you and generate a sale transaction or comment. There is still a lot of good people out there in the world, some of them will even respond when they see or read something that will move their inner feelings. Art and the eloquent written word still does that to us humans if we give others the trust and chance to communicate. We will however, not be your intermediary with the public at large; you can also be assured that we will not abused your privacy and e-Mail address. Nor do we charge a commissions to any sales derived from the exposure on our web site. Please continue to read for more details on this page and there is additional information in our privacy page here >>>

Now comes the fine print ...But it's all good!

4> Writers and poets  please submit your work via e-Mail; each title should be not longer than 2500 words. Depending on the length of each piece, I will post up to three titles. I also encourage you to send new material thus keeping your posted work rotated and "fresh."

5> You can always update your personal information by contacting us with the convenient Embroiled News or the Studio e-Mail.

6> We reserve the right to not accept or remove any content from our web site www.giovannistudio.com and the Embroiled News web pages that is offensive or unlawful. With regards to questionable items deemed by some of our guests who are of the opinion that artistic nudes are pornographic, we can only respond by quoting the opinion the American jurist Potter Stewart, who served as an associate justice of the U.S. Supreme Court (1958–1981): "I know it when I see it[.]" he said. However what is usually dropped from the complete quote by those who are often against any, nudity, is the remainder of the sentence which states: "...and the motion picture involved in this case is not that." – Jacobellis v. Ohio (1964). Thus the opinion of the noted jurist Potter Stewart is clearly understood when said in its entirety: "I know it when I see it and the motion picture involved in this case is not that."
