For easy reference I have included the background information under the art work of some current event cartoons. I will also be most grateful if you could let me know if I have "hit the mark" with a few of the political cartoons. When evaluating a cartoon, ask yourself these questions:

Does a cartoon add to my existing knowledge base and help crystallize my thinking about the issue depicted?... Does the cartoonist have any obvious biases that distort reality?... Is the cartoonist reflecting prevailing public opinion or trying to shape it?

The response to these and any other questions you may have asked yourself, will help determine the effectiveness of my cartoonist's message.

Timely Digital Cartoons

Lately, after several attempts, I began to realize that the appearance of an outline to just about any photo could be made by using the Adobe Photoshop program. After tweaking it to a desirable combination of commands, I was able to create a fairly consistent look or style, all at once, with one click of the mouse. These are some of the results, others will be posted as they are completed.
