I have lately begun to experiment with computerized comic strip renderings, even though I believe, that pen and ink on paper still offers the best results. I am also experimenting with converting standard text into visual dialog balloon snippets while keeping to a story line. It is no doubt a juggling act but one which is satisfying once I begin to see signs of progress. Finding the subject matter to create a comic strip seems to be the most challenging, since one must be sure, if the time involved will warrant the final results. After all is said and done, one comic page may take as much or even longer, than a week's work, ...but it's a lot of fun!

Since this new art form may seem new to many of our Embroiled News readers, I have posted a selection of "Before and After" comic strip renderings. These were created with a small very simple to use computer program of my creation, that enabled the manipulation of ordinary pictures. Each results depicts a different lighting condition and tranformation to comics illustrations.
