WANTED I have assembled a few samplers as a guide for our new photo page. These images were taken by me and are by no means the cardinal rule to follow. Briefly said, we are hoping to receive a sense of diversified originality that in many respects reflects within the image the interest and immediate world of the artist and photographer. Just look at the world around you and send a few photographs or sketches to be shared with us all! To view our sampler page click on the "Photography" or "Art" buttons. |

George W. Bush quote of the moment. Reported by Prof. Malatesta George W. Bush, the self confessed oil addict-in-chief, who was suckled on Four-Star Texaco, can't stop talking about renewable fuels like ethanol, prairie grass and cow manure. Standing in front of a giant frieze of corn fields at the Renewable Fuels Association in Washington, he recently declared over and over again: "Ethanol from corn is good for us, good for the environment, good for America!" He then added, "But we can't use all the corn for fuel," W, the farmer-economist, intoned to his grateful audience, concluded, "Cos we gotta eat some!" But consider the irony: the Texan who is widely accused of invading Iraq because of oil is currently at a whisker above the 30% approval line and being brought to his knees by gasoline prices. He has managed to join that exclusive club whose former members include Richard Nixon and Jimmy Carter. If my Shakespearian memory serves me correctly, these events are turning out to be as if they were the Chevron version of Hamlet. |
