Dioramas are made in various sizes and perspectives to represent in true to life form the world around us. Here below is shown but a fraction of the possibilities in recreating our world to any given scale.

In this sample of constructing the cave dwellers scene I have used a variety of materials to achieve my results - most of it from the ever increasing "junk pile" at the studio. Fir trees were made in part by utilizing shredded foam rubber; chopped air-condition filters were transformed into deciduous trees. The cave dwellers were carved from harden wax/ plastics; and yes, I have even used "fresh and clean" cat litter to re-create those essential prehistoric rock slides. Eventually after additional detailing the visual effects and illusion became complete as seen in these photos:

The Human Past

The same technique as above was used to create the log cabin scene which~six inches in-the-round.

In the wild lion attack photos instead, the subjects were mounted to be the center scene as part of a large diorama in a private home -- Incidentally, I did not kill the lion nor was I the culprit that caused harm to the gazelle.
